Dirty LAWndry reader, Sadie, is requesting my help to transform her ultra-conservative attire.

“I’m not an attorney, but I work in the HR department at a large firm. Recently, the partners decided to change the firm’s image because we now serve a younger, less traditional clientele. We were an ultra-conservative firm. It was normal for us to wear business pantsuits everyday, even in HR. We did not have dress-down Fridays like other firms. We had a meeting recently discussing the new dress code, among other things. It seems that they would like us to have a more “relaxed attire”. The new code will be implemented next week. I’m a little unsure of what to wear. We weren’t really told that the code would be business casual. Someone asked that question and the answer was that they wanted to created a more relaxing atmosphere for clients. So, I’m assuming that somewhere between business casual and casual will be okay. Please help me to throw something together. I want to test the waters before diving in with all this newfound freedom. I also like the color yellow.”

You can try mixing and matching the look below. You can always remove the jacket if you feel overdressed.
